Does this affect my bike?

All reported cases have been 2016 Electrified S bikes, which have a different fork stem to earlier and later models. If your bike was purchased between April 2016 and June 2017 and/or has a motor serial number starting with the letters ‘AKM’ then this issue could affect your bike. You can find your serial number on the front wheel motor hub.
If you can see “VANMOOF” stamped on your front hub motor, the issue does not affect your bike. Additionally, if you purchased a 2016 Electrified S in one of our 2018 outlet sales, the extra security bolt will have already been fitted. All other VanMoof bikes are unaffected, as they use a different fork stem design.
Please note – this issue only affects the 2016 Electrified S. All other bikes are unaffected.
