VanMoof S2/X2 & S3/X3:

Plug the included charger into a power outlet and connect the other end to your bike (under the top tube). The battery will stop charging automatically when it reaches full capacity. A full charge takes about 4 hours, and 80 minutes for 50% charge

Note: To protect its lifetime, a VanMoof Electrified battery can't charge below 0 °C / 32 °F. It’s always better to park your bike inside for a couple of hours and start charging at room temperature(between 15-25Cº).

Try to avoid fully charging and fully discharging when it is not necessary. The optimal battery percentage is between 10% and 90%.

Use your boost button thoughtfully. Pressing that button non-stop is demanding on your battery

Electrified S:

Plug the included charger into a power outlet and connect the other end to your bike (under the top tube). The battery will stop charging automatically when it reaches full capacity. A full charge takes about 6 hours

Note: To protect its lifetime, a VanMoof Electrified battery can't charge below 0 °C / 32 °F. It’s always better to park your bike inside for a couple of hours and start charging at room temperature(between 15-25Cº).

If your Electrified has been powered down for a while, the smart module may need to be charged manually.

To do this, you'll need: A micro USB cable A power source (phone charger, powerbank, or even a laptop)

Connect the micro USB cable to the power source. Plug the micro USB cable into your Electrified S USB port (on the bottom of the top tube, below the display). After a little while, the smart unit will activate – you're good to go!

Smart Bikes:

No charging is necessary, since all the bike’s smart features are powered automatically by the internal dynamo. Your daily pedal-power is enough to keep it going indefinitely. You can always check battery levels in the VanMoof app. When you see in the app that the battery level is below 30% we advise that charge it via the bike’s USB port (under the top tube).
