Before you can start riding on your new bike, you will need to do the following:
- Download the VanMoof app from the Apple App Store or Google PlayStore
- You'll need to create a VanMoof account if you don't already have one.
- Follow the steps in order to register your bike to your account
- Once you have done this, the VanMoof app will automatically connect to your VanMoof Smart bike
- You are ready to go!
Any device running iOS 10.3+ or Android 5.0+ which has Bluetooth support is compatible.
Do I need the app?
You’ll need to use the VanMoof app to set up your backup unlock code. After this, you can ride without your phone, using the code to disarm the Kick Lock via your bell button. However, we do recommend connecting your phone to get the most out of all the smart features (like the Kick Lock, theft defense, and rider recognition) which really bring your bike to life.
Troubleshooting
If your bike isn't responding, you may need to wake it up by plugging in the charger. If this doesn't wake your bike up, then try resetting it by pressing the reset button, which is located on the underside of the top tube.
If your bike is awake but you're having difficulty connecting, try toggling Bluetooth off and on, and if that doesn't help then try restarting your phone.
