Outside temperatures can influence battery performance. The range and power output of a battery will always be best in mild weather. It’s completely safe to use your bike during winter, but it’s better to charge it at room temperature if possible. If you park your bike outdoors in the cold, just make sure the battery isn't totally empty.

Whatever the temperature, we recommend you unplug your bike when it’s fully charged. And if you want to store your bike for a longer period of time, try to leave the battery at around 40-60%. This will help maintain your battery performance.

In low temperatures, you may notice that your battery drains faster and the Turbo Boost feels slightly less powerful. Riding on a lower power assist level for the first few minutes will give your battery a chance to warm up properly.
