We are currently investigating as thoroughly as possible. As an extra precaution, we’re also reaching out to customers with a bike from the affected batch and alerting them to this potential issue. We’re now contacting riders who are potentially affected via email. If you do not receive an email your bike is not affected.


All riders we contact should have their rear fender bolts checked before their next ride to make sure they are secure. This check (and bolt tightening, if necessary) can be done at any VanMoof brand store by our in-house Bike Doctors. If you're not close to a brand store, your local bike shop can help with this – we've made a video showing exactly what needs to be done.
