If your bike ends up in wrong hands, there are two ways to report it stolen:
Open the VanMoof app and go to your profile (bottom right corner). Select the bike that has been missing, then tap 'Mark as missing’ and confirm. You will receive an email to confirm your missing report.
Log in to your My VanMoof account and click on 'Report missing Bike'. Select the bike that has been missing and confirm. You will receive an email to confirm your missing report.
Go to the police and report your bike stolen. If you have Peace of Mind Theft coverage, send us the official police report. You can upload this report (in one of the following file types: jpeg, png, pdf and doc/docx) in your My VanMoof account. You can find this option in the ‘My Bike’ section.
After we’ve received your official police report, our Bike Hunters have two weeks to track down your bike. If the Bike Hunters don’t recover your bike within two weeks of you submitting the police report, we'll replace it with a bike of similar or better age and condition. We'll keep you updated on our progress.
Registering your bike as stolen will shut down your bike’s motor and smart features, rendering it useless to the thief. We’ll activate the location tracking of your bike and provide you with a tracking link within 24 hours.
If you find your stolen bike yourself, just reconnect it with the VanMoof app. We'll see that you have reconnected with your bike and turn off the location tracking system.
